Come Dance with Us!
Is this dancing? Improvisation and Choreography creation lab.
This class is an discussion and skill building class on the premise of creating choreography and improvisational skills. Participants will learn common techniques, work together to create different dance compositions, and find a choreographic voice within their own movement no matter what age. Participants will learn to assess theories of choreography, and how to critique work through a choreographic lens. Students of all abilities are welcome.
This class focused on building the necessary motor skills needed for primary dance instruction. Through the use of fun, upbeat music, students will learn basic skills like hopping, skipping, jumping, galloping, and balance coordination. Students will also engage in dramatic music movement and learn introductory ballet steps. This class is taught by Warkenda Williams-Casey.
This class combines innovative dance movement with anatomical principles of alignment and kinetic usage in a pure technique of solid placement. Years of training can be accelerated in a brief period of study. With this unique and patented technique sequence - which works without the pull of gravity - correct alignment and movement become part of the dancer's muscular memory. The muscular structure is corrected, lengthened and strengthened. Working internally and centered, tension is released developing maximum turn-out and extension.
