York’s 3rd Annual Dance Street is an event combining all dance styles through showcase and exhibitions. Providing a day of fun and energy along side 43rd Annual Olde York Street Fair. It is located on George St. in front of the Appell Center for the Performing Arts.
The event starts at 12:30pm and runs until 6pm. Two All-Style Dance Battles will take place at approx. 2:15pm and 5:15pm.

Lavon Holland
Lavon Holland was first introduced to dance at the age of 3 through the art of ballet, modern, and jazz. She is a graduate of Baltimore School for the Arts where her extensive training has been in Vaganova, Cecchetti, and Balanchine. She has studied the modern and jazz techniques of Graham, Cunningham, Horton, and Limone. Over the course of her career, Lavon has studied other dance forms such as African-Dunham, Flamenco, Tap, Hip-Hop, Liturgical Dance and Musical Theater with some of the well-known names of the dance world: Norma Pera and Stephanie Powell with The Baltimore School for the Arts, Hinton Battle, Laura Alonzo with the Cuban Ballet Company, Nicolas & Marian Petrov, Douglas Bentz, Judith Leifer-Bentz, Ron Hudson, Roberto Munoz of Point Park University, Jose Molina, Tome Cousins, and Kenneth Gargaro of Gargaro Productions. Through her intense studies, Lavon was able to perform major shows such as “The Jazz Nutcracker”, “West Side Story”, “The Nutcracker”, “Jesus Christ Superstar”, “The Wiz”, “Evita”, “Godspell”, and other notable dance shows. Lavon has danced professionally with The Physical Theatre Project based in Pittsburgh, PA and she has also appeared as a guest artist on Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood. In 1993, she earned a B.A. in dance from Point Park University where she was a positive influence in the lives of children and adults through her teachings of dance. Lavon has done numerous dance workshops and performed and choreographed throughout the United States and in Mexico, Puerto Rico, Bahamas, Cuba, and other international countries. Most importantly, Lavon has found a love in being a positive role model to the children she has guided and instructed throughout her profession.
Lenon Peachlum
Lenon Peachlum is sought after as a respected Choreographer/Instructor/Mentor around the Globe. He has presented choreography, classes, and seminars over 23 countries. He is also a founding member, former Dance Captain, and Artistic Director, of the groundbreaking organization CULTURE SHOCK DANCE TROUPE that has spawned talent such as The Jabbawockeez, NAPPYTABS, The Kinjas, Kaba Modern, Keone and Mari Madrid and many others. Combining years of technical experience; Mr. Peachlum has extensive skill as a theoretical, and practical educational provider. Lenon began his career in Musical Theatre at an early age of eleven. Since that time, Lenon has become a veteran of numerous Theatrical and video productions. In addition to Voice Acting, he is also an internationally recognized Choreographer, Instructor, Dancer, and Mentor. He spent many years teaching Musical Theatre, Dance, and Stage Performance in Germany, and Switzerland. He has provided Choreography for Concert Tours, Music Videos, Musicals and Plays, Amateur, and Professional Cheerleading, and originated the San Diego Padres’ Youth Performance Troupe which performs between innings at home games. His choreography, and teachings have captured numerous competitive titles, paved the way, and helped to train some of today’s talent for their for notable careers. Lenon is truly a man of many talents.
Paula Le Vere
Paula LeVere was first introduced to dance 32 years ago through the art form of ballet. Over the course of her career, Paula has studied with some of the well known names of the ballet world: Sylvester Campbell with The Baltimore School for the Arts, Laura Alonzo with the Cuban Ballet Company in Cuba, Arthur Mitchell with Dance Theatre of Harlem, and Fredrick Franklin of the Ballet Russe. Through her intense studies, Paula was able to perform major ballets such as Giselle, The Nutcracker, Swan Lake,Firebird, and other notable ballets. Paula also appeared as a guest soloist on Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood. In 1993, she earned a B.A. in dance from Point Park University where she was a positive influence in the lives of toddlers and young adults through her teachings of ballet. Most importantly, Paula has found a love in being a positive role model to the children she has guided and instructed throughout her profession. Paula has shared her knowledge and passion for the art of ballet through volunteer work with the inner city. Furthering Paula’s accomplishments, she formed a youth ensemble, Union City Youth Ensemble, for the inner city kids of New Jersey. Paula’s love for dance brought her back where it all began in Baltimore, Maryland. Paula was given a great opportunity to build the dance program at Meade Senior High School where she was director of the dance company. She formed a thriving after school dance program, Dance Happens, Incorporated, through Mount Royal Recreation Center for Baltimore’s inner city kids. Currently, Paula is teaching for The Baltimore School for the Arts TWIGS program, ConneXions School for the Arts, and Dance Happens, Incorporated.
Terrance Green
After 10 years of performing as a dancer, Terrence Green is ready to take his talents to a new platform. Many of his fans know him for his incredible dance moves and his funny skits on social media under the name RawSwagger. However, very few are aware of his humble beginnings. Born and raised in York, Pennsylvania; Green began his career as a dancer with little to no training. He was able to perfect his craft after joining the dance group, "Ground Kuntrol." From there he was able to hustle his way onto Philadelphia based super group, "Versatile Dance Company" who has performed alongside artists such as Fat Joe, 50 Cent and was also fortunate enough to appear on Showtime at the Apollo. In 2009, he was inducted as a member of the Swagger Crew on MTV's America's Best Dance Crew. Terrence began teaching at Atlanta's Gotta Dance, Dance 411, IDA Hollywood, Millennium Dance Complex as well as conducting workshops across the country, Africa and all over Europe. In addition, Terrence performed with Blake Shelton and Kenny Loggins during the 45th Annual Country Music Awards, and hosted Georgia Lottery's "All Access Music Tour." After gaining momentum as a world renowned dancer and actor, Terrence moved to Los Angeles to pursue his passion full time. Terrence began doing stand-up comedy and soon developed a huge social media following from acting in videos that had acquired millions of views. In 2016, Green secured a guest star spot as "Calhoun Jeffries" on BET's Being Mary Jane opposite of 'Gabrielle Union. Less than a year later Terrence became a Series Regular Lead on the new Lionsgate and YoutubeRed Original Series StepUp:High Water. Combining both his love for dance and acting, Terrence plays “RIGO” ; A confident, talented, and perhaps even a little dangerous rapper/dancer and local “It” man on Atlanta’s street dance scene as well as being the star student at the prestigious High Water Arts Collective.
Warkenda Casey
Warkenda is an experienced dance teacher and certified interpreter for the Deaf. She studied Psychology and Special Education at Carson-Newman College. Warkenda began her dance training at the age of five with Bristol Ballet in Tennessee and fell in love with the stage at an early age. She has had the pleasure of training with directors, choreographers, and dancers from such notable companies as Alvin Ailey and the Nashville Ballet. She studied Vaganova method and Neoclassical (Balanchine) ballet technique, which continue to influence her teaching and choreography today. Warkenda has also performed with the Spirit of Norfolk Harbor Cruises, Bristol Ballet Company, Knoxville Ballet, and ZWG Performing Arts Company. She was first given the opportunity to choreograph at Carson-Newman for the theatre arts program in productions such as “The King and I” and became the dance captain, coach, and choreographer for Praise Line Dance Company. Some of her favorite choreographed and performed works include Dracula the Ballet, For Colored Girl, Metamorphoses, Little Shop of Horrors, Footloose, and Doubt. When Warkenda moved to York, PA she started teaching ballet technique with Susquehanna Ballet in Mountville, PA where she continues to teach today. In 2015, she received her certification for Zena Rommett Floor-Barre® which has added a completely new and beautiful element to her teaching. Warkenda joined the Weary Arts Group team when she saw the quality of performances, teaching and care given to every performer. Her daughters were the first in the Casey to perform with WAG (Phantom of the Opera) and Warkenda offered her skill set to the WAG family because she believes in what this group of teaching artists is giving the community and wants to be a part of encouraging and continuing the arts into the next generation.

Over the years, the hands on, Do-It-Yourself mentality has allowed Z. Rich to turn his company, High Off Life LLC. into a proven music marketing & creative agency. The persistence has landed Z on Sway In The Morning multiple times, including being invited personally by Sway to NYC to participate in the annual year-end Doomsday Cypher.
